Build
Build

Here, "build" is the term used to refer to the set of choices made to BUILD a character's combat potential (and consequently the combat style). That is, the sum of skills, attributes, equipment, and all other resources focused on combat. The builds are related to the character's class, as they bring together characteristics that serve to use the class's skills in the best possible way.

In Myth of Yggdrasil, the class skill trees have been reformulated to allow each class to have some possible growth paths, and the player decides which one, through the distribution of points they receive when they level up. Many skills are related to each other or scale with different criteria, which allows different ways of playing with the same class, with different builds. Do you want to be a knight who fights with a spear? Sword? Shield? One-handed or two-handed weapons? With or without mount? Each way of playing is different from each other, and choices must be made!

Some examples of basic builds (the names of each build are illustrative suggestions): Hunter: Trapper (focused on the use of traps), Falconer (focused on attacks using the falcon), Heavyshot (ranged slow and powerful attacks), Swiftshot (ranged fast attacks with less damage);

Mercenary:

Builds:Focus:
Venomous(focused on the use of poisons)
Shady(focused on attacks while hidden)
Slicer(quick critical attacks)
Executioner(massive damage in a few attacks)

Alchemist:

Builds:Focus:
Bomber(focused on the use of bombs and dangerous mixtures)
Botanist(focused on growing plants to aid in combat)
Apothecary(focused on producing potions and some buffs)
Geneticist(focused on creating homunculi)

Priest:

Builds:Focus:
Zealous(focused on healing and buffs)
Exorcist(focused on magical attacks and debuffs)
Inquisitor(physical attacks and resistance, buff/debuffs)

  • (...and much more!).

The reformulations are intended to make build possibilities more flexible, so it is reasonable that many builds were not even planned in advance. So don’t limit yourself to examples: be curious and creative! Some revolve around specific equipment, combos, the way they move or even the way they look. Who knows how many powerful and/or fun builds there are out there?
