Game Installation

Running the Game

After downloading and extracting the files:

1° Run

Myth of Yggdrasil.exe in the root folder to start the game.

2° Once you click on

Myth of Yggdrasil.exe, the updater will start, and the game will begin updating automatically.

3° To resize the game screen, click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the updater.

Antivirus Configuration (Windows Defender)

If you are using Windows Defender as an antivirus, it is recommended to add the game folder to the exclusions to prevent false positives that might block the game's execution.

Windows 11

Adding an Exclusion in Windows 11

Select Start > Settings > Privacy and security.
  └─ Click on Virus & threat protection.
        └─ Under Virus & threat protection settings, select Manage settings.
              └─ Under Exclusions, select Add or remove exclusions.
                    └─ Click Add an exclusion, choose Folder, and navigate to the Myth folder you downloaded and extracted.

Windows 10

Adding an Exclusion in Windows 10

Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Virus & threat protection.
  └─ Under Virus & threat protection settings, select Manage settings.
        └─ Under Exclusions, select Add or remove exclusions.
              └─ Click Add an exclusion, choose Folder, and navigate to the Myth folder you downloaded and extracted.
